RefWorks (LEGACY): General

Creating a RefWorks account

Create your own RefWorks account on a computer that is connected to the TUT campus network. Go to www.refworks.com/refworks ⇒ Sign Up for a New Account.

If you are creating your account off-campus, you will need a RefWorks Group Code. If you need the code, email the library: kirjasto@tut.fi  .

RefWorks is web-based: once you have created your RefWorks account, you can access your database anywhere with an internet connection.

You can keep using RefWorks after graduating for as long as TUT has a license for RefWorks. For more information, see Alumni Program

! ProQuest has released a new RefWorks version (New RefWorks). TUT Library supports the New RefWorks users. Go to the New RefWorks guide.

What is RefWorks?

RefWorks is a web-based reference management program with which you can:

  • collect references to your own reference database
  • create in-text citations and generate bibliographies in many different citation styles

With RefWorks you can create your own personal account, where you can store references and attach files. You can export references to RefWorks from almost any database. You can easily create bibliographies, print them or email them, create in-text citations and share references with others. The free Write-N-Cite tool allows you to create and edit your citations as you write them. It also creates a bibliography according to your selected output style and updates it automatically.

! ProQuest has released a new RefWorks version (New RefWorks). TUT Library supports the New RefWorks users. Go to the New RefWorks guide.
